While we are happy to accept single items on consignment, our specialty is providing a total solution for estate liquidation. We relieve our customers of all responsibilities, and ensure that each item is sold at fair market value in a timely fashion.
Qualification Statement and Personal Pledge
I, Joan F. Caddigan, do hereby affirm that my qualifications as an appraiser are firmly based upon my having been seriously engaged in retailing (i.e. buying and selling antiques, fine arts, and household furnishings of all description) for the past twenty-two years. My firm, Caddigan Auctioneers & Appraisers, Inc., currently conducts approximately fifty auctions per year which activity in itself gives a substantial insight into current and ongoing market values in the aforementioned categories. I also maintain a current and extensive library of reference material reflecting values and trends in pertinent categories. My services as an appraiser have been utilized for over thirty years by banks, homeowners, and attorneys for insurance and estate settlement purposes.

Benefits both buyers and sellers by eliminating the need for costly and time-consuming moving. This auction type also enables interested parties to view the merchandise in its original and proper setting.
How to Consign
Consigning merchandise with Caddigan Auctioneers & Appraisers is simple. We typically work on a commission basis, and make payment within 30 days of the auction date. This fee covers everything from moving, packing, and transportation to storage, photography, promotion (newspaper and trade journal ads, direct mail), cleaning, pre-sale display, sale, and record-keeping. The check for merchandise sold is accompanied by a detailed computer printout which itemizes the sale. If all items don't sell during one sale, we will offer them again at another. Ultimately, all estate items will be sold at fair market value.
Special interest items are often sold at reduced commission rates, so it really makes sense to talk with us about your needs.
